Adoption Trips

The OHIP card arrived within a week and B got added to my benefits plan at work.

My parents and my brother and sister in-law came to visit for Christmas. B warmed up to Grampy first but was very comfortable with Nana as well by the time they left to go home on January 2nd.

When B is not sick he is sleeping through the night. We have all had a cold or in my case Flu between the time we got home and now.

V's brother, sister in-law and our nephew came to visit for a few hours on Christmas day and came for dinner on New Year's Day.

B's Christmas highlight had to be the bows and paper that wrapped the gifts.

My New Year's highlight was holding B on my left knee and J on my right while V fed them cheese cake after dinner.

V applied for her Parental Leave benefit on Dec 29. No word yet on when we receive payments. EI website says it takes 4 weeks.

B applied for his SIN on Dec 30. Human Resources Development Canada had no problem allowing his SIN to be registered under B R***** once the saw the adoption order and the landing papers. Once we get the SIN we will apply for citizenship. Hopefully once they see an OHIP card, a vaccination record and a SIN in the name of B A***** K***** F***** R***** they will give up and use his name at adoption on the citizenship record.

B has visited Aunt M everyday this week. Monday he and V went to visit for 2 hours to play with J. Tuesday he was left at the house for 2 hours while V waited for a call to say he would not stop crying. The call never came. Today he spent 3 hours while V went to a professional development course orientation at work. Yes she is taking a work related course even while on leave.

I don't think they are visiting tomorrow but who knows.
