Adoption Trips

I have become the biggest laggard on the face of the earth. Once upon a time I would post pictures to our website the minute they were taken. Now I have a difficult time to do it on a 2 month frequency.

It's been 10 months since my last blog so Father please forgive me if I skip something.

In December '06 we did travel to Florida. We stayed on the border between Fort Lauderdale and Miami and had a wonderful if cold one week stay. We were only able to swim once in the week. We traveled through Everglades national forest to Naples and back to Miami through Alligator Alley.

The kids still point at the fridge magnet we purchased as a memento and C asks "what dat Daddy?".

C had her 1st Christmas with us and it was all about her I am sure.



V returned to work very late in December and in January '07, after Nana and Grampy went home, the daily 2 hours of driving to drop off and pick up kids resumed.

In February B turned 4 and in March C turned 2. Later in March Daddy turned too much.

In April '07 we needed a break from work and commuting and took a two week vacation in the States. One week in Nashville where the kids saw their first NHL game. Blackhawks beat the Predators. Then one week in Orlando where we shopped and swam. Finally for April we had a group reunion with Cassy's travel group at Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls.

May saw B start his first season of Soccer on the Victoria Day weekend. He really enjoyed playing and matured so much. He went from the kid too scared to play with the others to the kid everyone was following.

The summer came and went. Canada Day and Simcoe Day in Ottawa with Uncle M and Aunt B. We took a quick 6 day trip to NB for Nana and Grampy's 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. There is no place like home.






We returned just in time for a one day rest before B started Junior Kindergarten on Sept 5th.

Now its three 1hr round trips to the baby sitter each day. One to drop C off in the morning. One to transport B from school at 11 and finally one to pick them up after their long day. C really is missing her GawGaw in the mornings. I think if she could she would go to school too!

The rest of the fall will be spent on small projects around the house - new garage doors, closet organisers, start finishing the basement.

From Dec 1 to the 8th we will head back to the US for yet another Orlando pause. With the dollar at par we are hoping to get lots of good Christmas deals. Christmas I assume will be at our house with the family.
