Adoption Trips

So we did the Jade market and V got her green jade bangle that she has been waiting for 2.5 years to buy. She spent so much that now V says I have to eat instant noodles for the rest of the trip because we can't afford food.

We continued on to the Great Wall and C and mommy waited at the bottom while daddy made it up to the 'hero' level. That's about halfway to the top of the mountain.

Next it was a lunch at a combination friendship (i.e. government run souvenir) store and restaurant. Quite good in the opinion of most we think.

Tonight we went to dinner with three other couples. The food was good, the price reasonable but the service was lousy.

Tomorrow the folks whose children came from the other orphanage need to be on the bus by 7:30am to go to the clinic for medicals. Those from BeiHai, including us, can sleep in as our bus does not leave until 9am.
