Adoption Trips

We are in Nanning, capital city of the GuangXi Autonomus Region, akin to our Canadian Territories but in the west not the north, and about 3 hours drive from C's orphanage.

The picture to the right will change tomorrow with the addition of C who will be united with us at 3:30pm local time (2:30am EST) tomorrow.

Today we visited a silk factory and refrained from buying any of the wonderful products they had there. We bought many in 2003 in Shanghai.

We took a 3 hr 40 minute flight on Hunan Airlines from Beijing to Nanning arriving at the hotel at 6:15pm.

V is catching up on her zzzz's while I post this.

Tonight it's off to the local market to get some bottled water and snacks, then a group meeting at 9pm and a phone call from B at 10 or 10:30pm.

Tomorrow we meet after breakfast to prepare our paperwork for tomorrow afternoon and at 3pm leave to go to the civil affairs office to be united with C. So pictures of C will be posted tomorrow night.

Tuesday we need to go back to the civil affairs office to complete the paperwork and to the notary's office to make the adoption legal.

Wednesday we drive 6 hours round trip in a bus to visit the orphanage in BeiHai.

Thursday site seeing and shopping.

Friday we get the Chinese passport for C and fly back to Beijing.
